Too Young for a Mammogram -- Not Too Young for Breast Cancer

Last year at The Rose of the 275 women we diagnosed with breast cancer, 48 were under the age of 40. Every single one of those women had been told they were “too young for a mammogram”… clearly they were not too young for breast cancer. Of those 48 young women, 29 did not have any type of insurance coverage or ability to pay for services and 43 had dependent children.
