HIM SPECIALIST
Drop procedure reports and perform QA on all reports, patient letterS; make corrections as needed in database.   Resolve recalls and re-set recall dates in database as patients check out their films to follow up elsewhere.  Investigate reason for returned patient letters with referring physician and correct database with updated demographic information.  Add/update/correct referring patient request form in database systems. High school or equivalent degree with 1 year medical office experience and an understanding of basic medical terminology.   HIM experience preferred.
